The late André Ermolaev is a Russian photographer whose series of stunning images of Icelandic rivers provide a vivid reminder of the inspiring beauty that exists on our planet.
I stumbled across his work whilst researching the impacts of climate change in 2014 and was reminded of it when looking for images for this website.
As well as being inspired by his work, the images of rivers meandering across Icelandic volcanic ash remind me that the solutions needed for our planet's challenges will be numerous and varied. Like the rivers he photographed, these solutions will also need to take whatever path is necessary to get to where they need to go.
André Ermolaev generously donated the use of the images featured on this website.
