Exploring the Mumbulla Foundation's Future Impact in the Bega Valley
2021 onwards
After more than two decades helping a broad range of community organisations, groups and individuals improve the quality of life in The Bega Valley, the Mumbulla Community Foundation decided to take a step back and explore what kind of impact it could have on the communities of the region over the next 20 years.
This involved exploring its current & future role in the community, looking at the other organisations supporting the Bega Valley to identify where it could have the greatest impact, workshopping possible future pathways and then developing a long-term strategic framework for the organisation.
Undertaken during the COVID-19 Pandemic, 2iis supported the organisation throughout the strategy development process undertaking extensive background research, future scenario planning, in-depth consultations with a broad range of individuals involved with the Foundation and ran a number of virtual and in-person workshops.
Following the conclusion of the strategy development process, 2iis has remained involved with the Mumbulla Community Foundation on a pro bono basis.
The project was generously funded by the Paul Ramsay Foundation and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR). It was also supported by the Bega Valley Shire Council and Community Foundations Australia.
